Everything that happens after delivery, in plain terms.
Retakes resulting from my own errors are included at no cost.
Revisions are changes made to the script after the original recording has been delivered.
Revisions are limited to 3 rounds per project. Rounds 1 and 2 are billed at the applicable revision rates above. Round 3 carries a 50% surcharge on the applicable rate. Any changes requested after the third round are treated as a new recording and billed at the original session rate.
All revision requests should be submitted together in a single round where possible. Sending changes in batches rather than one at a time avoids unnecessary additional billing rounds.
Revision requests required within 24 hours of delivery carry a 50% surcharge on top of the applicable revision rate. For example, a Minor Revision normally billed at $50 becomes $75 on a rush timeline.
Please submit all change requests within 30 days of receiving the original recording. After 30 days, any and all change requests are billed at the original session rate.
When submitting a change request, please highlight the lines in the original script or list the full sentence to be re-recorded, the sentence before, and the sentence after. If applicable, please include the time index of the video so I can better match tone and pace.
New copy submitted after original delivery that was not part of the original script brief is not a revision. It is a new booking and billed at the original per-word or session rate regardless of length.
For undirected sessions, where I am recording and delivering files at my own direction, I am happy to include one round of performance retakes at no charge. Please communicate all direction and change of direction at this time. After the first round, subsequent rounds are billed at the applicable revision rates above.
Pickups requiring a new directed session via Source Connect are subject to a minimum session fee of $250 in addition to the applicable revision rate.
Pronunciation guides, character names, brand names, and technical terminology must be provided before recording begins. Corrections submitted after delivery are treated as revisions and billed accordingly.
If retakes are required for pronunciation preferences not specified in advance, including but not limited to dialectal preferences (e.g. "ee-ther" vs. "eye-ther"), number reading conventions (e.g. "oh" vs. "zero"), or brand name pronunciation, these are treated as billable revisions.
